Also known as Chakra, Ki, whatever. It takes the form of an invisible aura around the body, hence the name, and boosts the user's physical attributes to superhuman levels as well as protecting them from harm. The more you use, the more fatigued you get, and once your aura is spent you're rendered just as weak and squishy as any other human. As weak and squishy as a human armed with a sword/shotgun/scythe combo is, anyway. Aura has another application as well, one that is unique to it's user- a Semblance. MISFORTUNEIn Qrow's homeworld, each human has a unique ability that embodies their personality and skill. This can take the form of super speed, being able to create shadow clones of yourself, or being able to increase your physical strength by being damaged. Qrow's Semblance, however, operates a little differently. Whereas most Semblances need to be activated and can be honed through training, Qrow's is always on and completely outside of his control. 'Misfortune'. As the name implies, anyone physically near him has their luck stat plummet through the floor, into the earth's core, and shoots out the other side! Though it will never affect him directly, it can affect his allies, which in turn can cause him to become the victim of his own ability should he try to save them. This unluckiness can take the form of anything from a wine glass sliding off a counter to a building falling apart due to proximity. SHAPESHIFTINGA strange ability of unknown origin! True to his namesake, Qrow can transform into a normal-sized black crow. It grants several 'standard' abilities- namely flight, improved vision, increased speed... though as one might expect, his body is rather fragile and weak in this form. Mostly used for travel or spying above anything else, though it's good enough to serve as a party trick on occasion.
